Burgess Hill Town got more minutes in the tank and played some good football as they held National League South side Horsham to a 1-1 draw in their latest pre-season run out.

The Hornets took the lead from the penalty spot as James Hammond converted following a foul in the box on 20 minutes.

Hill had chances in the second half before finally levelling when Chris Whelpdale smashed home to make 2 in 2 for the forward.

With 5 minutes remaining Kieran Rowe should have won it for the Hillians but he hit a penalty wide as the game finished 1-1 and more importantly a good performance and more minutes in the tank.
