Burgess Hill Town’s pre season preparations continued on Friday night with a 2-1 win at Three Bridges.

The hosts had an early chance that they struck wide whilst at the other end Tom Chalaye sticks the ball in the net after a lovely through ball but he’s flagged offside.

Hamish Morrison got in behind soon after and squared for Jaden Perez who forced a very good save from the Bridges stopper.

On 38 minutes Hill went close again as Morrison got in behind and raced down on goal but he thunders an effort just over and just before the break Perez whipped in a delicious corner but on the stretch, Josh Spinks sliding in, struck over as the teams went in at the break level.

A fantastic strike just four minutes into the second half saw the Hillians lead. It’s brilliant from Chalaye who holds it up and lays it off for Harry Lawson who strikes it beautifully into the top corner.

There was a great block from a Hill Trialist before the rebound was well saved by Roco Rees. Bridges though equalised soon after with Reece Hallard levelling it up with a good finish in the box from the former Hill man.

Chalaye dinked the ball over the GK but it bounces back off the post and then it gets cleared off the line as the Hill looked to retake the lead.

Former Bridges man and Hill skipper Brannon O’Neill puts the Hill back in front after another Chalaye assist on 78 minutes.

With 10 minutes remaining Kieran Rowe was tripped in the box. Chalaye stepped up, smashes it down the middle and the GK saves with his legs as it ended 2-1 to the Hill.
