The Hillians ended their pre-season schedule with a 4-0 win over Southern League central side Northwood.

Jay Lovett and Gary Mansell’s side put in an excellent display to round off the friendlies as they begin the season next Friday in the FA Cup.

Hill took an early lead as Martyn Box scored following  great pressing to force an error by Ben Pope and Callum Chesworth.

Hill went close again as Hamish Morrison picked out Ryan Worrall whose shot was deflected just wide.

It was 2-0 shortly after as a brilliant ball over the top of the defence found Box who had his first shot saved but smashes the rebound in to double his and our advantage.

It was 3-0 before half time as Pope beat the offside trap and takes his time before picking out Alex Brewer who continued his hot streak and taps home.

Sub Tom Chalaye made it 4 minutes after Box nearly completed a hat-trick. Chalaye’s first effort smacks the inside of the post, he gets a second chance from a right wing cross and buries it to complete a dominant display for the Hill.
