Costly Mistakes Undermine Performanc

The Hillians went to Three Bridges FC looking for a better overall performance than they had shown in the two previous games.

Ian Chapman started Dan Thompson upfront with trialists Toure and Izuzhu also making there second appearance in a week after impressing at Hassocks. Chances fell to the away side in the 1st half and could have been three up at half time. Lee Harding was a constant threat down the right side and the physical presence of Thompson caused the home side problems.

H/T 0-0

The second half saw Hillians struggle to pass the ball as well as they did in the first and allowed the home side to come into the game more. Two poor defensive errors with 15 mins to go cost Hillians the game and although a Lee Harding goal gave the away side hope, another piece of sloppy play handed the home side victory.

F/T 3-1
Ian Chapman’s teams final pre season friendly is at home to Lewes FC, 3pm KO, on Sat 6/8/16.
