It’s a nice break from Isthmian League action this midweek as the Hillians road to the Amex gets underway with a home tie against SCFL outfit, Horsham YMCA!

The Hillians suffered late heartbreak at the weekend when we missed 2 late chances to win the game at Beckenham Town and then were sucker punched in the 90th minute when the hosts broke and stole the points deep in added time. The Hillians have been very good on the road lately and that was the first defeat in 6. Tuesday evening will be a good chance for Jay Lovett to perhaps give some minutes to those in the squad in need of them, whilst also blooding in some of the fine young talent that we have from our U18s who have been pushing for game time in recent weeks.

Our visitors from Gorings Mead compete in the Southern Combination Football League, a Step below the Isthmain League. They are going along steadily at Step 5, currently sitting 14th with 22 points from 17 matches. YMCA fell to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Uckfield at the weekend and will be keen to bounce back.
