3-2

On a very clear and mild Thursday evening Burgess Hill Town U18s hosted Bognor Regis U18s in an Isthmian League U18 South match.

After the first 15 minutes it was a very tough and cagey affair which had produced few chances until the 20th minute when the deadlock was broken.  After good play down the right side and into the box a loose pass landed at the feet of a Bognor player who slotted home well. That goal kicked Hill into the game, the hosts having several chances. They got their reward in the 35th minute with a goal thanks to Charlie Bonwick Adams who put the rebound in after the first shot hit the crossbar. The scores locked at half time one a piece.

Hill started the 2nd half on top and deserved to go ahead on 54 mins. Jake King with the goal. Unfortunately Hill couldn’t hold onto the lead for long and in the 60th minute  Bognor got an equaliser against the run of play.  For the next 25 minutes Hill stayed on top thanks to determination and shape. In the 90th minute Jake King scored the winner to joyous scenes.

Hill U18s are determined to put up a strong showing in the League and this three points will be very useful .
