Manager Dean Cox with his coaches Steve Carlberg, Will Hendon and Ross Ball were joined by members of the first team squad as they popped into the Burgess Hill Academy prior to their afternoon fixture with Hythe Town in the Isuzu FA Trophy.
The kids asked some wonderful questions and probed the team to find out all about progressing with BHTFC and the seniors gave some fantastic advice. There were also some ex-Juniors who now play for the seniors there showing the fantastic progression.
Chairman Vince Alfieri said “It was great that Dean, his management team and first team players all gave up their time to visit with the young players, parent coaches and our youth community. It was very inspiring for the youngsters, we have age groups ranging from under 5s to under 18s, we have community teams who enjoy playing football with their friends as well as talent development for those pushing to getting in our semi pro 18s and senior side”.
“We have a healthy mix of girls and boys playing for us and it is clear Dean and the senior squad recognise their role in the development of all the children who play for us, a big thank you to the team for popping by”.
For anyone who couldn’t make it down yesterday there will be another session like this later in the season. Thank you to everyone involved who helped make this happen.
