Burgess Hill Town FC are delighted to announce that Gary Mansell will be taking on a newly created role of Director of Football with the Hillians.
The role will run alongside his joint first team manager position which he holds with Jay Lovett.
The role will see greater emphasis on ensuring our senior teams have the resources and tools to maintain and enhance performance.
Gary will also oversee a new club pathway that will sit alongside the current hugely successful junior system. This will see a focused and competitive pathway for our players to further enhance their progression from our youth teams into our 1st team.
The club see the Director of Football position as a key component in implementing a shared club philosophy, playing style, culture and values.
Mansell said “I’d like to start by thanking David and Vicky for the opportunity to fulfil the role as Director of Football. It’s an exciting time for the club and the introduction of this role shows the ambition and direction we want to go.
Its been a really positive season to date but there is still lots of work to be done to ensure we continue to grow. This new position is just a small part of the infrastructure to support our continued development and provide a sustainable model for the club going forward.
I’m very much looking forward to getting started”.
