We have been drawn at home to Erith Town in the 3rd Qualifying Round.

Noah Hoffman scored the only goal of a pulsating Fa Youth Cup tie at a busy Homecall last evening. Maidstone travelled with intent and purpose but it was the hosts that answered every question and deserved the win.

Maidstone started strongly with crisp passes down both channels. Two shots rained in which sailed over the bar. Hill found some traction down the right wing and were rewarded with two inswinging corners. It was during this time that Hoffman let fly after 23 mins from distance. The ball clipped a Stones shoulder as it popped up and over a diving keeper.

The visitors tried to respond but our defence dealt with the danger with maturity and power. Stones huffed and puffed.

During an action packed 2nd half it was Burgess Hill that dominated possession and chances. Manager Oliva would have been very proud that his team kept their composure and respect to the officials. Pressure which Stones failed to withstand as not one but two red cards were waved. Hill went on to create a number of good chances, the Maidstone keeper Chris Swift producing the Man of the Match performance.

At the final whistle there can be no doubt at Hill throughly deserved to be progressing to the next round.

Please see interviews with Manager Berty and our Club President Peter Miles. Both were immensely proud of the team.
