Match Ball Retrieved !

Our hardworking Monday Club made the most of some dry late October weather to get a number of important jobs done around the stadium as the club look forward to welcoming Broadbridge and Ashford this week.

Club Secretary Tim Spencer explained what was going on during a well earned tea break. ‘Over the weekend we had some new turf laid over the goal mouths and we completed that, hopefully it will bed in. There was an issue with the electrics in the changing rooms which has been resolved. We are working hard on clearing up leaves which at the moment is a never ending task. John Buck has been tidying up the hospitallity suite and car park. As always we have the bonfire going. There is a match ball high up a tree that we are determined to get back, we won’t let it beat us!’

Meanwhile Stuart Rittman of Fisher Lane Groundcare was getting on with verti draining the entire pitch. It’s an exercise that is done twice a year and aids drainage. Thanks to Stuart for his work.

Our Monday Club is expanding but are always looking for extra support. As we go into the winter months there will be lots going on around the property. Why not come along?

Near the end there was a resounding cheer. That ball fell to the ground!
