Burgess Hill Town FC are sad to inform you of the passing of former player Peter King who passed away peacefully after a short illness.
Peter made his debut for the Burgess Hill first eleven on the 16th October 1965 against Ringmer. He was a regular member of the squad for the following five seasons playing every game in the 1966-1967 season. He then went on to play for the reserves and then became player manager of the third eleven, until retiring in 1974.
While with Burgess Hill F.C, he also joined the Management Committee on 1966 and in his time on the committee served as Hon Secretary and Hon Match Secretary.
Peter is shown 2nd & 3rd from the right in the back row in the attached photos, which were taken from the days at Fairfield Recreation Ground.
