Last week Burgess Hill Town FC Under 16’s won the Mid Sussex League U16’s Division 1 title following a 3-0 win over runners up Eastbourne Borough Youth Red U16’s.

It completes a double for Berty Oliva’s side who won the Sussex FA John Davey Under 16’s Cup earlier in the season.

Oliva said “The boys have had an excellent season. From the the 1st game the focus was on playing progressive, positive football with a focus on dominating possession with a real purpose on playing forward quickly and being ultra attacking whilst also having a strong disciplined defensive team out of possession”.

”This foundation and these principles drove the team to winning the County Cup for the first time since 1975 for our club along with winning the league title with a 3-0 win v Eastbourne Borough in a winner takes all game on the last day of the season.”

”The squad’s achievements this season have been remarkable and I’m so incredibly proud of them all.”

”Thank you to all the support we have received from everyone this year!”

From everyone at BHTFC well done to Berty, his management team and his players on a fantastic double winning campaign. COYH 💚🖤
