Burgess Hill Town FC are delighted to announce the appointment of a new management team to lead the new women’s side at the HomeCall Carpets Community Stadium.
Tom Clingo will manage the side assisted by Jacob Bennett whilst Callum Jewell will complete the management team taking up the role of coach.
Chairman Vince Alfieri said “Myself and the board are hugely excited about Tom and the team joining us. We have a large girls section here at the football club that we have been building since 2019, with a women’s team in place we will have a talent pathway for girls to progress and we will be able to inspire more girls to get involved in the younger age groups
We are looking forward to creating an enjoyable, innovative and personalised spectator experience on Sunday afternoons for people to enjoy women’s football right here in Burgess Hill!”
The trio join the Hillians from AFC Crawley and Tom, who will manage the side, said “I’m really excited to be joining this fantastic community club. Vince and Tina’s vision for Burgess Hill Town is incredibly exciting and in truth, I was sold instantly.”
“Our aim is to expand on the fantastic work being done in the girls section and create a women’s team that the entire club and community can be proud of and get behind.”
“I’m looking forward to seeing lots of Hillians at the HomeCall Carpets Community Stadium on a Sunday afternoon and I am very confident that we will be able to deliver a positive, entertaining experience on the pitch.”
