A good performance and a well earned win for our U18s Isthmian team last night away to a well organised Hastings U18s.

Both teams set up to play good football which made for a very entertaining fixture. The hosts took the lead on 8 mins when a short back pass from BHTFC captain Taylor Edwards was punished.

Despite the set back our boys never panicked and were back on level terms in the 16th minute when a brilliant pass from Henry Yorke-Johnson was received by Alex Brewer whose effort was quickly closed down by the goalkeeper before Noah Hoffmann calmly slotted in the rebound.

Both teams continued to press with intensity and threaten at each end in what was a fairly even first half.

The second half continued at the same pace but our BHTFC boys began to take control of the game with good passages of possession. The game was ultimately won in the 72nd minute with Alex Brewer lobbing the goalkeeper for his 27th league goal of the season.

Despite a couple of late scares the boys defended well for the remaining stages and finished with a well earned 2-1 victory.
