A disappointing evening for the U18s who lost to a good Horsham side 3-1 .

The Hillians started the game well creating a couple of half chances before going behind in the 17th minute. Horsham had a flurry of corners which weren’t cleared and paid the price when a corner curled straight into the back of the net to give Horsham the lead. Horsham gained momentum and extended their lead in the 32nd minute with a shot from inside the box. The Hillians forced the Horsham keeper into a couple of saves but didn’t take their chances.

The second half was a fairly even contest for the first 15 minutes before The Hillians started to dominate possession after a couple of substitutions and a change to the formation as they attempted to reduce the deficit. A few half chances were created but they were unable to break down a well organised Horsham side.

Daily in the Hillians goal made a couple of good saves before Noah Hoffman finally reduced the deficit to 2-1 after some good work from Koby Farrell. They pushed for an equaliser but Horsham were holding firm. They sealed the win scoring a 3rd from the penalty spot in added time.

They’ll look to get back to winning ways next week with games against Bognor and Three Bridges at home on Tuesday and Thursday.
