4-1

A poor start to this game saw the Hillians 3-0 down in the first 13 minutes as the Hill’s final away game of the season ended in defeat and ensured Littlehampton Town’s Isthmian league status for next season.

Manager Gary Mansell made two changes with Reggie Ward returning from injury and striker Alex Brewer, fresh from scoring a hat-trick for the Under 18’s in midweek, coming into the starting XI.

The hosts took just two minutes to open the scoring when a corner came in from the left and Dion Jarvis headed home.

It was quickly two as a long ball wasn’t cleared, they get down the left, square it across for Nodirbek Bobomurodov to tap home.

Two became three on 13 minutes as Golds player manager George Gaskin was played clean through and he thumped past Fin Holter.

It wasn’t until the 21st minute until the Hillians had a chance as Reece Hallard gets some joy down the right, he crosses for Brewer, who sets up Rowe but he fired wide from 20 yards.

The miserable half continued for the Hillians as Jay Beckford limped off with an injury as Littlehampton went in comfortably ahead at the break.

The Hillians had a couple of chances in the opening 15 minutes to try and get back into the game. A lovely ball sees Ward through but James Binfield comes out and stops him and then from a corner, Binfield gets nowhere near it and Jake Goodman loops a corner off the bar but not in.

Few chances were had by either side but the hosts wrapped up their victory with three minutes remaining as they scored a fourth, tapped home by ex-Hillian Josh Short following an error at the back.

The Hill got a consolation at the end thanks to an own goal as the game finished 4-1 on a bad day at the office for the Hillians.
