The U18s made it 2 wins in three days with a 2-1 win against Three Bridges on Thursday evening.
The first half was a tight affair, Three Bridges were making it difficult for The Hillians by sitting off and being compact.
Despite this the home side were patient, kept the ball moving and created a number of chances. Dylan Hurst had an excellent chance to put the Hillians ahead but the Bridges keeper saved well with his feet.
As the half was drawing to a close, Joe Overy struck the first goal of the evening after some good play between Noah Hoffman and Koby Farrell and the Hillians went in 1-0 at half time.
The second half started well, Joe Overy and Theo Maryon both had chances to extend the lead but unfortunately could put the ball in the net.
Despite Bridges pressing more aggressively and attempting to put the Hillians under pressure they were equal to the challenge and continued to create chances.
The lead was extended on 72 minutes when a clever pass from Charlie Clayton put Theo Maryon through on goal and he finished calmly.
Chances came for substitute Alex Brewer who had one cleared off the line and the keeper also made a couple of good saves.
Three Bridges fought until the end and clawed a goal back in the 90th minute with pretty much the last kick of the match.
Another good win and performance for the U18s and they’ll look to continue the good run away to Whitehawk next week.
