It’s been a busy few days on the transfer front for manager Gary Mansell and new director of recruitment Jay Lovett with new faces arriving at the HomeCall Carpets Community Stadium following the capture of Conrad Honore from Chichester last week.
Firstly the Club are pleased to announce the re-signing of defender George Brown who joins after playing for National League South side Eastbourne Borough. George has had two short previous spells with the Hillians and he has also played for Hassocks and Woking at U18’s level.
Also joining the Hillians is exciting winger Jay Beckford, on loan from National League South side Eastbourne Borough. The 23 year old joined Borough towards the end of last season and originally came through the youth ranks at Arsenal playing for the Gunners U18’s before he left to have a spell in Norway (playing for Lillehammer FK and Gjovik-Lyn) followed by a spell in Sweden (playing for Ytterhogdals HK). He returned to the UK in 2022 and played for Isthmian Premier side Wingate & Finchley switching to Eastbourne Borough.
You will have noticed a new face in goal last Saturday as Finn Holter made his debut for the Club in for the injured Taylor Seymour. The 19 year old stopper also joins from Eastbourne Borough and has been playing for Southern Combination Premier side Bexhill United. He was part of Borough’s U18 side that reached the 2nd round proper a few years ago and recently saved three penalties in a shootout to help Bexhill progress in a cup game earlier in the season.
As a few players join, we have seen Nic D’Arienzo leave for Lancing, we wish Nic well and thank him for his 64 appearances for the Hill
Keep an eye out for more new signings over the next few days.
