Burgess Hill Town are pleased to welcome Jay Lovett back to the club in the new role of Recruitment Director. The club see the appointment as a key role in the evolving infrastructure which will under pin the foundations of the club’s ambitious progression.
Manager Gary Mansell said “After sitting down with the owners it was very clear that the club has big ambitions which is refreshing to hear. Upon discussing plans for the club for next season and the targets we’d like to achieve it was identified that we would need to create the new role to ensure we recruit the best possible playing personal to deliver the on-pitch ambitions.
Jay is a great appointment and a good fit for several reasons. Jay knows the club better than most in and around the building at present but it’s his knowledge of the leagues and players not just at our level but the levels above and below. Having worked alongside Jay for several years I know first-hand how much experience he has at this level and in turn Jay knows my philosophy so is able to identify the right types of players to support the style we look to implement.
I look forward to getting to work with Jay straight away as we look to add to the squad in the short term while also looking ahead to next season.”
Jay will resume the role immediately and has already made progress with the recent signing of Conrad Honore from Chichester.
