Burgess Hill Town picked up a point on the road and kept a clean sheet as the Hillians drew 0-0 with Broadbridge Heath on Saturday in the league.
The two sides had met on Tuesday night and it was penalties that separated the two after a 2-2 draw in the Sussex Transport Senior Cup.
Manager Dean Cox brought goalkeeper Luke Glover back into the starting XI, the only change from the midweek games against the Bears.
The Hillians first attack came four minutes in when opening scorer from last game, Marcel Powell, cut in and forced a good save from Alfie Hadfield.
Nic D’Arienzo had a couple of long throws that caused some danger for the home defence, the second of which saw Perry head over but the linesman’s flag was raised anyhow.
A long throw at the other end was eventually scrambled clear by the Hillians defence and after 35 minutes Glover made an excellent save tipping over a shot as the Bears began to turn the screw.
As the half drew to a close Jack Taylor injected some energy into the Hill as he spurred us forward and found Jammeh who dragged his effort wide before Finn Daniels Yeoman bombed forward and forced a save from Hadfield.
The second half saw the Hill have a couple of early chances, firstly Perry flicking the ball to Jammeh who’s shot was well saved by the outstretched boot of Hadfield and skipper Marcus Allen saw a header comfortably saved.
On 60 minutes recent signing Glover made a tremendous save to keep the scores level, as a strike from the edge of the box was brilliantly saved by the keeper with him being unsighted through the crowded box.
The hosts were on the front foot and saw a header land on the roof of the net as Glover and the Hill defence were much busier.
On 76 minutes Reggie Ward got in behind but saw his effort tipped over but right near the end Glover made another brilliant finger tip save to earn the point as the game finished 0-0 and give Glover his first clean sheet in the Hillians goal.
