1-0

Both sides had early chances with a home attacker smashing over James Shaw’s bar after 4 minutes and at the other end Lewis Finney and Dan Perry had half chances.

Cameron Scott in the Horndean goal made a fantastic save to deny Finney on the volley after 17 minutes but within a minute the Hillians were behind as Tommy Scutt shot home into the bottom corner.

4 minutes later it was nearly two but Shaw made a brilliant save from a one-on-one situation.

Scott saved the hosts again denying Perry with his legs and then denied Perry again tipping over Perry’s bullet header.

Both sides continued to have chances but the hosts went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

Hilians were creating chances throughout and half time sub Marcel Powell had two chances in the opening 8 minutes of the half as he first shot over and then saw a curling low effort tipped around the post.

The hosts nearly doubled their lead but were denied by the cross bar.

The Hillians and their hosts both had a couple of half chances but Horndean held on and saw the game out to take the points.
