4-1

Ramsgate came into the game looking for a first win in three but boosted with the signing of striker Rowan Liburd from Chesunt for an undisclosed fee.

It was Burgess Hill who kicked the game off and they looked to quickly get star striker Dan Perry through on goal but the ball had a bit too much purchase on it and bounced through safely to Bexon.

Ramsgate forced a corner on five minutes, Miller whipping it in dangerously but Huffer punched the ball away well under pressure.

The Rams were on the attack shortly after as Mcintyre intercepted a loose ball and played it to Miller down the left, he whipped in a cross which deflected off a Burgess Hill defender and was heading into the net but Huffer reacted superbly to scoop the ball away.

23 minutes in and against the run of play the visitors took the lead. Aboagye lost possession on the edge of the box and the ball was played through to Perry who smashed the ball past Bexon to make it 1-0.

The response was instant from the hosts though as Jadama nicked the ball in midfield, drove past two players and calmly chipped the ball into the net to level the scores.

The game was now end to end and Burgess Hill went close on 30 minutes as a slick passing move found Reggie Ward but he sliced his effort over the bar.

Onto the 37th minute and Conor Tighe hit a volley just wide for the away side with Bexon looking beaten.

Approaching half time and into the 42nd minute and Ramsgate took the lead and once a again it was TJ with the goal. He won the ball in midfield before feeding Aboagye, he crossed it and it was half cleared to the edge of the area where Jadama was waiting and he made no mistake with the finish into the bottom corner as The Rams took a 2-1 lead into the break.

The second half started at a much slower pace and it took until the 6oth minute for the next effort of note on goal as good link up play from Liburd and Rowland lead to Paxman bursting into the box hitting a powerful shot the Huffer did well to tip over.

Ramsgate were on the attack again as Liburd held the ball up and passed to Paxman, he played a delightful outside of the foot pass into the area for Jadama to run onto, he shot but Huffer produced a great save to deny TJ his hat trick.

67 Minutes in and Hayden Skerry did well down the left for The Hillians, he cut in and shot but Bexon was equal to it and he beats away the effort.

Burgess Hill were piling on the pressure now and nearly get the equaliser. An exquisite pass from Taylor find Miller, he crosses for Perry who looks certain to score but Fitchett comes out of nowhere and makes a last ditch saving challenge.

85th minute and TJ does have his hat trick and its a goal on the break. Jadama is the man to intercept a ball, he drives 30 yards with the ball and exchanges passes with Rowland to put him one on one with onrushing keeper and with ice is his veins he calmly clips the ball over the keeper to claim his first career hat trick.

Ramsgate weren’t done yet and the icing on the cake came in the 90th minute as subs Diakiesse and Osinfolarin combined to feed the ball to Miller just inside the area, he drove the ball across the goal and into the net to complete a resounding 4-1 victory and keep Ramsgate at the summit of the league.

Match Report provided by Ramsgate FC.

A very strong Hillians first half showing was met by a lacklustre second 45 where eventually, top of the league showed why they are where they are. The score line was harsh however and not a true reflection of the game.

Next up for the Hill, we aim to finally return to Paradise as we host a young Brighton And Hove Albion XI in the Sussex Senior Cup on Tuesday evening.
