It seems like it’s been an age since the Hillians were last in league action but they make a return in arguably the biggest game of the season when we host nearest neighbours Haywards Heath Town.

What a perfect chance to get our first points on the board in the league this season and claim local bragging rights! If only it was that simple.

The Hillians will have to pick themselves up after our 3-1 defeat to Metropolitan Police in the Emirates FA Cup at the weekend but there should be no extra motivation needed given Tuesday nights opponents.

The visitors from down the road picked up their first win of the entire season at the weekend having already been knocked out of the FA Cup. They got the better of Littlehampton Town 2-0, with goals from Dean Gunner and former Hillian Alex Laing. That win lifted the Heath to 15th, with 4 points from 5 games, a game more than Hill have played.

As is so often the case on Derby Day, both sets of teams have players who have played for both sets of clubs. For Hill, Olly Allen, Lewis Finney, Max Miller, Dan Perry, Charlie Pitcher, Kieran Rowe and Josh Spinks all used to don our opponents colours but all saw sense. We will also welcome back some players who used to be cheered on at Leylands Park, Billy Collings, Tom Cadman and Alex Laing will all receive a warm welcome, I’m sure….!

Jo and Katie’s BOTN Tea Hut will be open throughout the afternoon, be sure to give them a visit!

Please arrive at the More Than Tyres Stadium early to avoid queuing in the lead up to kick off!

It’s going to be a cracking evening, make sure you all join us on Tuesday. Come. On. You. Hill.
