Jay Lovett and his squad won 5/5 away pre-season friendlies and they will be eager to build on that sort of form and transfer it into the Isthmian League when they travel to Chichester City on Tuesday night.
Burgess Hill lost on the opening day to Ashford United by a solitary goal in a very close game so there will be extra motivation to ensure points are accrued in West Sussex. We faced Chichester in our penultimate game last season, drawing 2-2 at Leylands Park but overall wins against the Green and Whites have been hard to come by in recent years, with the Hill failing to win Vs Chichester in our previous 4 meetings.
Our hosts from Oaklands Park travelled to newly promoted Sheppey United on the opening day and battled back from a goal down to leave the isle with a point. Former Hillian Conrad Honore joined Chichester from Burgess Hill and will be one of many to keep an eye on in what is sure to be a tough and close encounter.
As always, a healthy away following is expected to back the boys, a very safe journey to all connections making the trip.
Come On You Hill!
