Players Player Of The Season – Joe Southam
The awards weren’t quite finished yet as we dished out Volunteer Of The Year to the most deserving and humble winner, Chris Neal for all his fantastic work being the man behind the camera at BHTFC week in week out. He was, of course, present at the evening and managed to capture all the going’s on – his full gallery from the night can be viewed here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/126181108@N07/albums
And last but not least for the award giving, a tradition at this football club – the John Buck Award. This year’s deserving winner was Hillians club legend, Steve Wright. There isn’t many jobs behind the scenes that Steve has not done in his years at the club. People like Steve make our special little club what it is.
The evening culminated in an emotional special presentation for Super Pat Harding as he departs the club after 11 years to rejoin Hassocks. Pat was presented with a framed BHTFC shirt as well as a memorable retro Hillians shirt that he made his 100th appearance in. Legend is often used to regularly but Super Pat Harding is and always will be a Burgess Hill Town Legend.
Overall, it was a resounding success with not a spare seat in the house thanks to your terrific support. We knew you were good before this season but 2021/22 has hammered home to us that you are the best and most loyal fans we could ever wish for.
Here’s to a successful 2022/23 season for all of our teams.
