Back-to-back victories over Sevenoaks Town and Hythe Town have seen the Hillians finish February with a flourish and get back to near their top form. Goals have been flowing recently for Hill which at times hasn’t always been the case, we will be looking to keep that going when we go coastal at the weekend.
That above mentioned victory over Hythe at the weekend saw the Hill consolidate 7th place and keep up the pressure on the play-off pack as we aim to finish the season as strong as possible. Our previous fixture with the Lancers was a right old barnstormer! Taylor Seymour was sent off after 12 minutes, the 10-men Hill then missed a penalty. We took the lead late in the second half before Lancing turned it around and took the lead before Lewis Finney came back to haunt his old side scoring a last gasp equaliser. Strap yourself in for more of the same drama Saturday!
Our hosts, in their first season at this level, currently sit 16th with 28 points from 29 games. They fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat at Faversham Town in their last encounter as they battle to avoid the dreaded drop.
A very safe journey to the coast this weekend, a large number of Hillians are expected at Culver Road Saturday. BRING THE NOISE!
