The Hillians felt absolutely no January blues as they finished the first month of the year unbeaten, winning all 5 matches. Currently embarking on a 6 match unbeaten run and from being rock bottom and winless in October, Jay Lovett’s Hillians are now firmly part of the chasing pack for the play offs.

The second of our back to back Sussex derbies, the Green and Blacks will be looking to conquer a different part of the county after defeating Whitehawk at the weekend in a closely fought affair, settled by Martyn Box, his third in as many games. That winner saw us move up to 7th and a point at Chichester would see us move up a place further, to 6th. This will be our first meeting with the City this season, with the return fixture taking place in April.

Our Western Sussex hosts sit 10th with 34 points from 23 matches. They are also coming off a Sussex Derby at the weekend, they lost to fellow Mid Sussex outfit Haywards Heath Town by a slim 1-0 margin.

A large following is expected to turn out and cheer on Jay Lovett’s boys, a very safe journey to everyone travelling. Your support has been the catalyst for our run this season.
