Do you ever feel like you’re riding a wave? That must be what these Hillians are experiencing currently as they come in to this weekend’s Sussex derby with just 2 defeats from their last 17 in the league.
Jay Lovett’s young squad will be looking to build on recent impressive away victories and extend our unbeaten 2022. In midweek, the Hillians took all three points at Sittingbourne thanks to a Martyn Box winner. That win saw us leapfrog the Brickies and move into 8th place. Our previous meeting with the Hawks this season saw the points shared in a 0-0 draw.
The visitors from East Sussex currently sit 15th with 24 points from 23 matches. The Hawks last outing saw them pick up a point at home to Chichester. Former Hillians assistant manager Stuart Tuck, who along with Ian Chapman and John Rattle oversaw our title winning campaign, now finds himself in the Hawks dugout and will be welcomed well by the Hillians faithful!
Jo and Katie’s BOTN Tea Hut will be open throughout the afternoon, be sure to give them a visit!
Saturday’s match is sponsored by Mansell McTaggart and the match ball is sponsored by Tony Tester.
Hill vs Hawks is always a loud and proud affair, Saturday will be no different! With no Premier League games at the weekend, why not support your local football team?!
We look forward to welcoming you all to the More Than Tyres Stadium.
