Why does it always, rain on me? That’s what the Hillians must be thinking after our last 2 away matches have been halted by Mother Nature. Thankfully, the forecast looks a lot better for this weekend’s encounter as we welcome VCD Athletic to the More Than Tyres.
Jay Lovett’s green and black men will be itching to build on events 2 weeks prior when Lewis Finney snatched a 96th minute winner versus Cray Valley PM. That win did see the Hill move back up to 10th but our weekend wash out, coinciding with other teams playing means we currently sit 11th, with games in hand on teams around us.
Our Vicker visitors are on the hunt for a play-off place, currently sitting 7th with 35 points from 22 matches. Our previous fixture earlier in the season saw VCD run out 2-0 winners, a game which then sparked the Hillians season into life even though we were on the wrong side of that particular result.
Jo and Katie’s BOTN Tea Hut will be open throughout the afternoon, be sure to give them a visit!
Saturday’s match is sponsored by the Thatched Inn, Hassocks.
The Hillians Bar will be open showing the Aston Villa vs Manchester United fixture, live at 5:30pm, on the big screen after our game.
We look forward to welcoming you to Paradise at the weekend!
