Tony has been involved in football, as a coach and manager at both junior and senior level, for over twenty years. A professional background as a Community Development consultant for local authority commissions has enabled him to progress through the amateur game to his current working role; responsible for the development and co-ordination of inclusive community football projects for a local Premier League club.

Recently, Tony has been working with our Junior section, leading on the development phase age groups on assisting coach development and the introduction of a systematic approach to player education and development.

“Burgess Hill Town is an incredibly expansive and forward-thinking club that has so much to offer to so many people of all backgrounds.”

Tony said, “Burgess Hill Town is an incredibly expansive and forward-thinking club that has so much to offer to so many people of all backgrounds – both on and off the pitch. I’m excited to be able to work with such passionate and enthusiastic people to assist all of its teams in the Club, to ensure that the opportunity it provides is open to all and welcoming regardless of colour, gender, disability, or any other characteristic.”

Chairman, Kevin Newell added, “Tony has a passion both for football as a sport and for the unique opportunity it provides people to grow and develop, taking many of the skills learnt on the pitch into their everyday lives. He will be a real asset to our club going forward.”
