Both sides started the game brightly, with little to pick between them during the opening fifteen minutes. However, two minutes of madness saw the visitors race into a two-goal lead without getting out of second gear – with goals courtesy of Lauris Chin and James Dyer. Mason Doughty saw two decent chances come and go as the Hillians went searching for a way back into the game. The half drew to a close with the Hillians continuing to press.
It was the visitors who started the second half stronger, as they appeared to grab control of the contest. The Hillians almost found their lifeline through Andrew Briggs, but his effort was well saved – following some good work from substitute, Charlie Pitcher. The game was put beyond doubt, in the 71st minute, as Dyer grabbed his second of the match. The visitors saw out the game to cap off a professional performance.
One to forget for the Hillians, as we suffer just our third defeat from our last ten.
Our Match Sponsors, PureGym Burgess Hill, presented Pat Harding with the MOTM award.
A big thank you to all you Hillians who turned out to support the club.
