With no game this coming Saturday, Simon Wormull named a strong squad to face East Grinstead Town.

The Hillians started the game fantastically and took the lead in the 11th minute, as Andrew Briggs slotted home from Erivaldo Felix’s low cross. However, the hosts were level just five minutes later, when O’Shaye Giraud-Hutchinson smashed the ball past the helpless Billy Collings. The Hillians continued to control proceedings and regained the lead on the half hour mark – Aaron Smith-Joseph finishing from close range after his initial effort was saved.

The second half started in similar fashion, with the Hillians bossing the game. A series of fine saves from Alex Bellingham kept the lead at one, before substitute, Ryan Palmer got in on the act – smashing home following some great work from Felix and Smith-Joseph. Felix continued to torment the Wasps backline, only to see his efforts either brilliantly saved or cleared off the line! Giraud-Hutchinson grabbed his second of the evening deep into injury time, but it was all too late as Simon Wormull’s men held out for the victory.

The Hillians MOTM was awarded to Erivaldo Felix – who led the line superbly all evening and did everything but score!

A massive thank you to all of you Hillians who travelled to support the club.

We now have no game until October 5th – Phoenix Sports (A).
