6-1

The game started at a frantic pace, with the hosts being awarded two penalties within the first four minutes. The first was well saved by Bromage, but the second rifled into the top left-hand corner. Just a minute later, the hosts extended their lead, before making it three in the 12th minute. Minutes before the Robins’ third, Aaron Smith-Joseph saw his whistling effort rebound back off the upright. The hosts made it four, in the 27th minute, bundling home from a corner. Another clinical finish saw Peter Adeniyi’s side further extend their lead – showing exactly why the Robins had such a successful season last year. The Hillians finished the half much stronger, with an effort from Pat Harding well saved and a goalmouth scramble somehow cleared.

HT 5-0.

Simon Wormull rang the changes throughout the second half, as he saw his Hillians side grow into the game. In the 79th minute, ASJ gave the Hillians faithful something to cheer about with a fine solo effort. The hosts scored their sixth of the afternoon in fine fashion, with a thunderous strike from 20 yards out.

FT 6-1.

Thank you to our friends at Carshalton Athletic for hosting us – good luck for your upcoming Isthmian League Premier Division campaign.

A massive thank you to you Hillians supporters who travelled to support the club yesterday afternoon.
