Simon Wormull met with Chairman, Kevin Newell, earlier this week to set about the planning of next season’s campaign and returning the club to the Bostik Premier League.
Wormull said, “I know the players that I want to retain from last year, and after speaking to Kevin, I am confident we can do that now. We can also finalise conversations with players who I want to add to the squad in crucial positions. I want to us to do our business early, then the coaching staff and I can work with the squad in pre-season and really hit the ground running when the league starts in early August.”
“I was pleased to learn that players are already expressing a real willingness to put us back to a level which our supporters deserve”
Newell added, “I welcome Simon’s enthusiasm and commitment to building a team that can challenge for the Bostik League South East Division title and I was pleased to learn that players are already expressing a real willingness to put us back to a level which our supporters deserve – and which we feel we are capable of achieving.”
