Anyone For Margate?

This Saturday, 16th February, the Hillians make the long journey into deepest Kent, to Margate’s Hartsdown Park, for our Bostik Premier League encounter – 3pm kick off.

The reverse fixture, at the Green Elephants Stadium, resulted in a 1-1 draw, following a positive Hillians performance. Since December 2nd, Ian Chapman’s men’s consistency has been somewhat varied, with excellent performances at home to Harlow Town & away at Tonbridge Angels, followed by disappointing displays away at Harlow Town & away at Enfield Town – most recently. Even though the result against Enfield Town, and first half performance, was under par, there were positives throughout the second half, notably Jack Brivio’s performance & Hafeez Sanusi’s debut goal, and Ian Chapman will be hoping his side can replicate their second half performance for the entire 90 minutes!

Games in this league won’t get much more difficult than this one, with Margate currently topping the league’s form guide, picking up 26 points from their previous 10 outings – remaining unbeaten in this time. Steve Watt’s side currently occupy 3rd position in the league, and are sure to be one of the bookmakers favorites for promotion!

The club would like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks for the unbelievable recent away support, with Margate being our 5th away game on the trot! We urge fans to continue to back Ian Chapman and his squad, and we will keep believing!
