Speaking after the game, Pat Harding said:
“I’m very happy to reach the 100 goal mark for Burgess Hill. It’s not often someone scores 100 goals for one club, it’s nice to stay long enough to achieve this goal and to have an affinity with the club to appreciate it.
“It’s a target I’ve been after for a while and it’s got harder to reach as I’ve got older and the playing standard has got harder! To get to this milestone for my local club at the Isthmian semi pro standard is something I can look back on proudly once my playing days are over.
“I’d like to thank the wonderful Burgess Hill supporters who travel home and away, the management team for their high standards set, and mostly my team mates for providing my goals- I try and make a point of thanking whoever the provider is, straight after my many tap ins!”
