Hillians Prepare for Boxing Day Derby

On Boxing Day we welcome local Sussex rivals Worthing FC to Leylands Park, 12 pm kick off. In 2016, Worthing were promoted to the Isthmian League Premier Division via the play-offs, having finished third place in the Southern Division. Player-manager Gary Elphick was on the scoresheet in the play-off final.

This will be the second time the two clubs have met in the last week, but expect many changes from the lineups that competed in the Alan Turvey trophy. Both teams are in good form with the Hillians hoping to build on their recent 9 points out of 12, in what will hopefully be a Christmas cracker.
The club has extended the loan of Brighton striker Jonah Ayunga for another month. Meanwhile, forward Aaron Smith-Joseph has been signed from Woking. Sam Fisk is now training with the squad and is getting closer to full fitness. Pat Harding is out of hospital and he popped down to see the boys train on Christmas Eve, but it will be a few weeks before he is back in training himself.

The ticket prices for the game are as follows; Adults: £10, Concessions: £6, U18’s: Free.

The matchday sponsors are Keymer Double Glazing.

A Happy Christmas from all of us at BHTFC. Thank you for your continued support.
