Town Mayor Visits Leylands Park

Burgess Hill Town Council Mayor Jacqui Landriani took time out from her busy schedule to cheer on Burgess Hill Town FC on Saturday when the Hillians extended their unbeaten run to eleven games with an entertaining 3-2 victory over Leatherhead.
Mayor Landriani (pictured with BHTFC Chairman Kevin Newell) had originally intended to come to next Saturday’s FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round tie when the Hillians take on National League Dover Athletic, but when other commitments prevented this, she found time to visit the Green Elephants Stadium where a bumper crowd of 480 were treated to some exciting football and quality goals.
Chairman Kevin Newell said ‘It was a great pleasure having Mayor Landriani at our game. She clearly knows her football and I hope she was impressed by what she saw’
Newell went on: The Mayor explained her passion for promoting ‘Brand Burgess Hill’ and the football club is fully supportive of this project. We want to be seen as an important part of what Burgess Hill has to offer. We have over the years had great support from Burgess Hill Town Council, and with their backing I am sure the objectives we have for the town’s principal football club can be achieved, which I am sure will be of benefit to the Town as well as the club.
