Ryman Premier League status confirmed

We are pleased to announce that it has been confirmed by the FA ( BHTFC will be playing in the Ryman Premier League next season, 2016/17.

Hillians manager Ian Chapman said ‘ I’m pleased that it has been confirmed that next season we will be a Ryman Premier team. It’s been very difficult – that even when we played Farnborough FC early in the season it wasn’t official but there were rumours they were going down no matter what ! So we have known for a long time we had to to end up above 3 other teams to stay in the league. Even though I’m delighted we have achieved that, it still hurts that we were so poor for the last 3 months of the season. We must make sure it doesn’t happen again ! With that in mind, I know we must strengthen the squad this summer. There will be 5 or 6 going out and hopefully a similar number coming in.

Finally, a massive thank you to all our supporters. I know it’s been a frustrating end to the season, but we must put it behind us and start again. Over the coming weeks we will announce new signings and pre season friendlies. I know I personally have learnt loads this season and I’m sure my players have too. Enjoy the break and we look forward to seeing you all in the future ‘.

On hearing the news BHTFC Chairman, Kevin Newell added ‘ We are are delighted that the FA have confirmed that there will be Ryman Premier League football at the Green Elephant Stadium next season. This year has been a steep learning curve for us, both on and off the field, but we will come back stronger next season.
